About Me

Hello, I'm Chris Ferenci. My path in technology began in the rural suburbs of Central California, a far cry from the innovative tech landscape I navigate today.

My entrepreneurial journey began with the co-founding of Mobile First Studios, where I served as Creative Director. This venture was more than just a startup; it was a crucible where I honed my skills in leading diverse design teams and steering innovative projects.

Transitioning from entrepreneurship, I embraced leadership roles in product design at ESRI, focusing on iOS and Android applications. Here, I deepened my expertise in geospatial technology, crafting user-centric solutions that bridged the gap between complex tech and user accessibility.

My career trajectory then led me to TicketManager, where as the inaugural designer and later a Design Strategist, I played a pivotal role in platform redesigns and the development of a bespoke design system. This experience underscored my ability to drive user experience improvements across various digital platforms.

Amid the challenges of the COVID pandemic, I embarked on an academic pursuit at the University of California, Berkeley. In the Master of Information Management and Systems program, I delved into geospatial data science and environmental research, focusing on developing software systems for environmental data capture and display. I also shared my insights as a part-time graduate instructor at the Coleman Fung Institute for Engineering Leadership.

Currently, as a Senior Consultant in Deloitte’s Location Intelligence practice in San Francisco, I am at the intersection of innovation and practical application. My role encompasses the development of advanced software products and research in critical areas like natural resource management, disaster relief, and remote sensing technology. My diverse background, blending psychology with technical and design expertise, enables me to offer unique perspectives in software development and leadership, particularly in sectors where technology can drive significant environmental and societal impact.
